4/15/2023 0 Comments Mountain lion disk![]() ![]() I don't think that you will get much of a useful result with using Disk Utility/Restore on Mac systems since Mavericks, when Apple began providing the createinstallmedia tool inside the installer, which is there to help create bootable installers. Newer OS X systems, 10.9 and up, I use terminal commands, which almost always gives a good (bootable) result, too. That's really for the older systems (10.7 and 10.8), diskmakerx works great, unless I don't give the installer partition enough space. ![]() Plug in the drive where I want the bootable installer. Great for testing just about any Mac, so I boot to Lion, browse to both the Lion installer app, and (in this case) DiskMakerX. The Disk Utility method is the way to go for people who are more comfortable in the Finder (though it does require a couple Terminal commands), and it works under Snow Leopard, Lion, Mountain Lion. (I have what I call a bootmaster drive, which has full install partitions of all Mac systems from Leopard to (current) Monterey, all on one external SSD. Pilih Installer Mountain Lion, Lion DiskMaker akan mendeteksi installer Mountainn Lion yang ada di hardisk. After some frustration a couple of years ago - I have found that DiskMakerX works best when booted with near the same version of OS X as the installer that you are making. ![]()
